Saudi Arabia is a very peculiar and difficult place to run business.
There are many cultural and environmental challenges. We constantly had to solve problems, how to work around cultural rules.
In most places, what is needed to develop business - it is what the locals call "wasta". Which means, knowing someone. The only place where "wasta" is not applicable is oil giant Saudi Aramco. With local partner, we've developed standard operating procedures and protocols which matched Saudi Aramco requirements.
After Mekkah crane collapse, industry went through close scrutiny opening doors for new system of inspections.
